I live in Los Angeles, and after the Charter merger most of the bundle options have been pulled. There are only two TV packages (20 or 70 channels - you can only get the 200 channel package if you get internet AND their phone service) and all the low priced internet options are gone.
I will never understand how it can be legal for these assholes to get away with this - yes I know they make political contributions (bribes), but they are so blatantly ripping people off that it seems impossible that it doesn't catch up with them. Just take a visit to the official TWC forums and you'll find wall to wall posts of people complaining about being robbed by TWC.
The cable monopolies need to end...like 5 years ago. The cable companies need to be broken up like Bell Telephone was back in '82.

I returned to twc about a year ago. Since then service has been down a number of times. They are very slow fixing their issues. Also on three separate occasions they took multiple payments from my card when only one was owed. The last time they took the payment owed and tried to take four additional payments which were denied by my card. Since then I received a bill showing the amount due was in fact paid but there was $170.00 worth of charges from them trying four additional times to receive another payment. Needless to say I have switched providers and couldn't be happier. The Internet is much faster and the phone and TV actually work. Thank you twc for sending me to a real company!

1st exeprience with TW. 1st day, between the 1st service call I made to activate DTA's and a second to report my HD service not available my purchased products changed. The agent assisting me with activation stated what I had and it matched what I ordered. An hour later I discovered I didn't have HD or the premium channel I ordered, and what the first agent confirmed, and I called back. The second agent politely told me I did not have the premium channel and made no attempt to fix my HD issue, she did tell me to get rest and they would call me in the morning. WHAT? The third agent I spoke with, five minutes after the second agent, also stated that I did not have the premium channel but did fix (my HD issue). What a fix. The On Demand product platform is horrible, Charter and Comcast are way easier to navigate through. The response rate is so unbelievably slow, I really can't believe the time between pressing the button on my remote and the action completing on the tv...manual would be faster and I am serious! I should have suspected this when the technician did the install. I commented on the motom and HD box size and he said these were the newest products. The motom is almost the size of current CPU's and the HD box is larger than my last VCR. I hate the fact I can procure no other service provider, if it's regulation we need deregulation. How is it that one of the largest service providers provides the worst service and product I have EVER had and I can't switch to a provider of my choice? What has kept me using cable is Internet speed. I bought the fastest internet speed available to me through TW and I can tell you I am now looking at service between bundle options through Direct TV and Centrylink, their speed can not be slower. I live in a large and growing suburb of a major city and my Sprint mobile service is twice as fast....really TW?
One thing is consistent, everything I have heard about TW is true. Don't buy their service. Trust me, do not buy TW service.

I have had the worst experience with Timewarner! The installer drilled a hole in my hardwood floor in FRONT of the desk NOT underneath where it would be consealed without asking. He was at my home for 4 hours and 50 minutes and internet still didn't work. They called me and scheduled an appointment for the "supervisor" to come out and access the damage. He shows up 4 hours early and speaks to a family member who doesn't live there and takes a picture of the WALL and NOT the hard wood floor. To top it off once I turned on my TV my DISH service is NOT WORKING! I called and "Victor" answers I ask for a supervisor and he places me on hold for 35 minutes and then he disconnected the call and NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK!!! PISSED CUSTOMER

Time Warner interrupted my service for the fourth time in two months. When I called to complain I was asked to pay a bill that came to more than double my normal. This, the week after I had paid the bill. When I said that I didn't owe them anything, that they had made a mistake, I was told there was nothing to be done for forty-eight hours. I refused to accept this and demanded they restore service. Amanda, in Austin, TX said that was impossible until they could find proof that the bill had been paid. She wasted over an hour of time being completely unhelpful, not answering a question and insisting that she was the highest authority in the company and that there was no one else who could help me. She told me I could fax my bank statement to them. I pointed out that I had no fax and she stated that that was the only way I could hope for any help.Then she hung up on me. I called back , got another unhelpful person and this person sent me to Melba, in San Antonio. With a couple of questions that no one else had ever asked, she determined what the problem was and fixed it, and restored the service that could not possibly be restored. She also found the payment that Time Warner never got. I'm sure she has been fired already since she was helpful.

No way to get residential service when you move into a commercial setting, even though its what we want. Sounds like Time Warner has no love for the little man. I have been experiencing nothing but problems with Time Warner Cable's Service.They keep raising their prices a lot, not just a few dollars. I live here in Anderson Township/Cincinnati and have had four HD cable boxes go out in the last three months. My HD picture quality is not clear at all, especially on the 720p channels. My digital channels usually have interference in them. My tv picture will freeze up and pixelate to the point where you can't watch a show or movie. Then, a message will pop up and say "Please wait." Many times during the morning, the cable will just go out for no reason. I'm seriously thinking about switching to Directv or Dish Network. I also have their high speed Roadrunner service. The speeds are definitely not fast for what I'm paying for it. The internet is not reliable like they advertise and goes down when the cable does. I've talked to at least 5 different customer service agents about these problems and they always try to troubleshoot them from the Philippines. Well, that does no good and you can't understand a word they are saying. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. I do not recommend their service.

Said I needed to have tech come to house and sort it out. Asked to speak to supervisor, that was totally worthless - no sense of urgency, no compassion that TWC killed my boxes, told me Monday service visit best they could do.The fact we do not have a choice in cable suppliers in same area is the reason they can get away with this terrible customer service - If I could I would dump them in a heart beat!

This service really sucks! I started internet services 6 days ago. Since starting services I have had trouble everyday with the internet going on and off. My situation has been escalated all the way to tier 3 were it was turned back on only to wake up the next morning to see it off again. I explain that I use my internet for work as a at home Help Desk Engineer and this is effecting my job but the earliest availability of a TWC technician is 5 days away. Stupid me didn't learn from that experience and upgraded to 2 DVR's and home phone that was supposed to be shipped to me within 2 days. I called TWC late on the evening of day 2 to get tracking information only to be told by customer care that the equipment was not mailed out. Stupid me again travels down to the local office to get my equipment,come home and set it up and of course.....it doesn't work! I call TWC tech support and they try to trouble shoot for an hour but still no digital cable. In conclusion i was told that when the technician comes out for the Internet issue, they will also get the Digital TV working too. The message that I get from TWC is that they really don't care of their customers. If i'm a new customer, I shouldn't have to wait almost a week before I can get services or technical support especially if I've expressed that I need the internet for work. I'm so looking into other options for TV and internet and don't even care if it's slower. Slower internet works better than no internet!!

If I had ANY other choice besides DSL I'd do it. Funny thing is, tv, internet, phone still all working at my current residence, the shut off date there never got changed. I HATE this company!

Time Warner has the worst customer service ever. We have been a customer for over 10 years and they treat you like a nobody. Very disappointed. Our underground cable line was spliced and it has been like that for almost 2 months. No cable or internet for 1 week (charged for it). They finally came out and put a temporary cable line that goes through my neighbors yard and mine (above ground). We get cable and internet now but no cable to our downstairs family room. They keep telling us every time I call that someone will be out to fix it....it has been almost 2 months now. NOTHING, NOT A PHONE CALL. After being a customer for over 10 years it's about time to say goodbye and go with someone that respects their customers and not just their wallets. Still waiting for a response from Time Warner. If nothing happens at the end of the week....bye...bye.

Twice they have provided a time window of 1 to 5 pm but they don't show up until almost 7 pm, at which time the building is closed. They don't even apologize. Had a similar problem at home so took a Uverse offer instead - only $30 for max speeds. Why would anyone stay with TWC???

Time Warner must be the worst customer service company in the world! When canceling our account to get more services & save over $50/mo with AT&T, they are trying to hang us with an extra 1 month of service charges, even though there is NOTHING in the "Transfer/Cancel Service page of their website. I'm not happy with ATT's politics, but saving over $50.mo for a minimum of 2 years, trumps that. Yeah, I guess I can be bought, but I'm not cheap!

Time Warner contacted a collections agency for a modem I supposedly had not returned. After I protested this and told the agency I had returned the modem immediately before my account was closed, Time Warner then sent my account to another collection agency, who put this on my credit report. So now my credit rating dropped 30 points because of Time Warner's error.

Today, after successfully logging in to my account, I attempted to determine why, after I had been assured that my bill was paid in full when I finally broke free from TWC and cancelled my service, I had received a letter from a collection agency for a strange amount due to TWC. I used the chat, because calling customer service is usually a 45 minute process. The chat person was quickly available, but unequipped to see the information I needed. They sent me a customer service phone number. Eventually, after a substantial wait, I was able to get a customer service representative on the phone who confirmed that TWC had "mistakenly" charged me for services after I had canceled my account, had them removed. I also asked for an account of the error in writing to supply to the collection agency and any credit bureau should this become a larger issue. Upon hitting send after completing a customer satisfaction survey, i received a message "account no longer active," and have found I can no longer access my account or apparently fill out customer service questionnaires. If it wasn't so mind numbingly irritating and intentionally devious, it would almost be comical. Just thought I would share.

We were sent our notification that a new modem was available that would increase our speed. We sent the request and was Fedexed the new modem. We installed it only to find our speed slower!!. Called...

We were sent our notification that a new modem was available that would increase our speed. We sent the request and was Fedexed the new modem. We installed it only to find our speed slower!!. Called TWC and was told that the MAC update for our area had not been completed as of yet but would be done first week in Sept. When we called today we were told that they have no idea when the upgrade will take place. Switching back to our old router as it was faster. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. TWC SUCKS.
